Am I the only one who finds it challenging to style shelves? Here's an example of shelving decor done well.

Phew. Friday is finally here. I'm grateful to have a few days to recharge. I'm sure my family is hoping that the weekend seriously readjusts the crappy attitude I've had all week. Sometimes I just need to stop, take a moment to be grateful for everything I have, and realize that even when life throws a few speed bumps in my way it's still a freaking wonderful life. Happy Friday!
I'm working again this weekend so my usual Sunday chores are getting neglected. Tomorrow will be catch-up day AKA laundry day. How cute is this room? I don't have a source (found on Pinterest), so I don't know if this is wallpaper or hand-painted. Whatever it is, I love it.
It's fun to find new sources of art for little people. I recently saw these beautiful illustrations by Andrea Minini, and I fell head over heels. I'd love to do an entire wall of these framed prints.
I'm still struggling with our playroom. We bought a modular storage system that I thought would look great in there, but it's the first purchase for our new home that I really regret. It looks cheap and it wasn't. Eventually, it's going on Craigslist. In the meantime, I'm still collecting ideas and inspiration. This playroom is on the opposite end of the spectrum from my usual minimalist style, but I love the bohemian feel. There's a lot going on, but it doesn't feel overwhelming.
We are working on ideas for little man's new space. His current room will become the nursery for the new baby, and little man is moving into a previously empty bedroom. His big boy room is going to have a subtle adventure theme. I'm excited to share it with you when it's done, but for now here's a cute inspiration photo. The finished room won't look anything like this, but I love the paint job, the print, and the hanging slingshot.
If you loved the tassel garland from my last post as much as I did, you might check out this DIY tutorial over at Linen, Lace, & Love. Customize with the colors that work for your room or your party.
